WELCOME
The Cedar Valley Sports and Entertainment Commission is a non-profit organization whose mission is:
To attract, create and support sports and entertainment events that will have a positive impact on the economy and quality of life of the entire Cedar Valley Area and to position the Cedar Valley as a premier destination for these events.
The Cedar Valley Sports and Entertainment Commission serves individuals, groups, and communities within 25 miles of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls metro area, and those individuals and businesses outside that distance that bring events, corresponding to the mission of the Commission, to the served area.
The Commission is led by a group of community-minded volunteers who make up the Board of Directors. The Board is made up of business people from the Cedar Valley who are interested in the continued development of the sports and entertainment markets.
BREAKING NEWS:
The Cedar Valley Sports & Entertainment Commission was named a Certified Sports Authority District by the Iowa Department of Economic Development. The certification brings with it a $50,000 grant to be used in fiscal year 2008 for local, amateur sporting events and promotions.
